Droplet separators carry out the separation of water droplets carried by the air stream from water jet filter (scrubbers), cooling towers, air treatment units, water film painting booths, etc. or during rainy weather to retain water droplets on air inlet of civil, industrial and marine ventilation and air conditioning plant.
CLR has designed and tested various types of fins to obtain the separation of the drops in different conditions of use and passage air velocity. The product is composed of a perimetral self-supporting high strength frame in steel sheet, and a series of fins suitably folded in order to retain the drops.
The fins are assembled to the frame by interlocking, without welding operation, in order to prevent oxidation phenomena. Water droplets, retained by the fins, go down to the bottom of the frame, equipped with appropriate drainage holes.
We produce droplet separators both with unified dimensions or with dimensions on customer's request. Efficiency and pressure loss tests was performed in CLR’s laboratory.
